The Irish Electrical Cycling Club, IECC, will have in place all necessary requirements for a spectacular event including the local Gardai, Ambulance and Fire service, two local GAA Clubs offering car parking, County Councils, and the use of the local venue, Flanagan’s on the Lake for registration as well as the start point. There will be water stops 44km and 85km markers. A delicious crispy bacon roll or fancy French pastry with barista coffee to start; finished by a barbeque and refreshment at the finish line.
It is mandatory for all participants to be registered with an Annual Cycling Ireland Membership or a Single Day Cycling Ireland Event Licence giving each participant insurance cover for the event.
Purchase of a Single Day Cycling Ireland Event Licence will be added when registering for the event.
The event is capped at 600 participants, made up of teams of 4 or 6 people. Individuals can also book an individual entry but may be placed in a team of other individuals on the day.
It is not a competitive race, but a cycling event, so each cyclist will receive a medal on completion of the 116km route.
