Cycling Ulster Youth MTB Ready to Race

A full day of MTB development, designed to give young riders the skills and confidence to take on more mountain bike racing. The morning will feature coach-led practice sessions, followed in the afternoon by timed runs on three Davagh trails.

 

Categories: U10/U12/U14/U16 (Year of birth 2009-2016)

 

This event is all about building confidence, developing race skills, and experiencing a race format in a supportive environment with qualified coaches and volunteers before competing.

 

Schedule
* 09:00 – Sign-on opens at the bottom car park
* 10:00 – 12:00 – Coach-led practice runs
o Groups ride each of the three timed trails with their coach
* 12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch break
* 13:00 – 15:00 – Timed enduro segments
* Each rider will have an individual start time per segment 
* Volunteers will be stationed with stopwatches at the start and finish of each trail
* Riders will regroup with their coaches between timed segments

 

 

NOTE: The race village is 2.5 km from the car park.  Any parents not on bikes can walk up to the village.
