Comeragh and Knockmealdown Challenge in Aid of Ballymacarbry Playground Development

Event Description:

The “Comeragh & Knockmealdown Challange” cycle will occur on the 14th July 2024. This event is a 110km+ and 55km cycle challenge, not a road race. It is a participatory cycling event that has the aim of encouraging individuals to enjoy
cycling.

Start Time 10AM
The route is demanding, especially if you decide to take on the climbs. It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure that your fitness levels are appropriate and that you have no known medical condition that would prohibit participation.

Parking
Parking will be provided adjacent to the registration area. Do not leave any personal belongings in your car. The event organisers or parking area landowners do not accept any liability for loss or damage to property or person. Parking area will be clearly signposted.


Registration / Sign On
Registration / Sign on will take place at the Ballymacarbry Community Centre, Ballymacarbry, Co Waterford. All participants must be registered for the event and must sign on the day of the event. This area will be clearly marked. 

Start / Finish
The route will start and finish at the Ballymacarbry Community Centre, Ballymacarbry, Co Waterford. The event will start on time. There will be safety barriers in place. Participants are asked to please obey instructions from An Garda Siochana, the marshals, and the signage.

110km+ Route:
Ballymacarbry (Start), Clonmel (Fingerpost), Clogheen, The Vee, Cappoquin, Dungarvan (Military Road), N25 (Pike Hill), The Mauma, Kilbrien, Beary’s Cross, Ballymacarbry (End).

 

55km Route:
Ballymacarbry (Start), Clonmel (Fingerpost),  Clogheen, Newcastle, Ballymacarbry (End).
