Paddy Doran Memorial Youth Omnium 2023
This event takes place on the 17th of June 2023
The Paddy Doran Memorial Omnium is a Youth track event run in the memory of Paddy Doran who sadly passed away in 2021. Paddy left behind a great legacy in terms of the number of riders, and particularly youth riders, that benefited from his guidance down through the years. Much of that coaching took place at Sundrive velodrome and, thus, it is fitting that we can host a youth event at the velodrome in Paddy's memory.
The event consists of the following races:
200m Flying Start TT
Scratch race
Kilo Dash
Standing Start TT
It is open to all track accredited youth riders U10 / U12 / U14 / U16. Riders will be grouped based on ability rather than age categorisations.
The Paddy Doran Memorial Cup will be awarded to the rider who gets the highest number of points across all of the categories.
