Griffith Avenue Mile 2026

The Griffith Avenue Mile is an annual one mile road race on Marino's iconic Griffith Avenue which is being held on Sunday September 20th 2026. This year will be the fifth time the race has been run since the original race in 1983. 

For the first time in 2026, the race will also proudly host the National One Mile Road Championship

We have a range of ticket types available to support wide participation. 

• Chip Timed Entry: Adult and Juvenile (13+ on race day) race categories. AI registered Adults will automatically be entered into the National One Mile Championship 
• Family Fun Mile - Run/Walk (NOT TIMED) – This entry is for 2 adults and 2 children. Family entries are not chip timed. Children are classified as aged 18 or under on race day.
• Individual Entry (NOT TIMED) - Choose this for individual entries - either adults, children or seniors

With the increased popularity of the chipped time race, separate juvenille and adult races will be run this year, followed by the fun run/walk 

Please note which race you are entering when completing your registration as Family fun run/walk entries are not permitted to take part in the Chip Timed Races

There will also be a competitive wheelchair race pending sufficient interest. Please contact us to express interest before purchasing a ticket at info@griffithavenuemile.ie
