The Ireland West Airport Charity Runway Fun Run 2024

Ireland West Airport are delighted to announce, in partnership with Portwest, the 7th annual charity 5k runway fun run will take place on the runway at Ireland West Airport at 6.30pm on Saturday 14th September 2024.

This is a unique opportunity to run or walk on our famous runway. All are welcome to attend with all proceeds from the event going to our charity partners for 2024, ACT for Meningitis, BUMBLEance, Down Syndrome Ireland (Mayo Branch), Irish Red Cross, Mayo Mountain Rescue, and Western Care Association.

All participants on the day who register by 2pm on Friday 13th September 2024 will receive a free commemorative runway run t-shirt which can be collected at the airport on the day of the event or on a pre-arranged date leading up to the event which will be advised closer to the event time*.

A 'Virtual option' will also be available for those who wish to support the charities, but are unable to make it on the day and would like to do a virtual run or walk. Note a charge for postage and packaging will be applicable for those doing the virtual run who wish to receive a t-shirt. Alternatively t-shirts can be collected at the airport closer to the event time at no extra cost.

Online registration closes at 2pm on Friday 13th September 2024. Please note if you do not register online you may not get a t-shirt on the day as race t-shirts are limited and subject to availability.
