L2SOTKSA- Level 2 Sit on Top Kayak Skills Award- 2026
This course gives you the ability to navigate grade 1 water, develop awareness of environmental factors, and learn relevant rescues.

Event Description:
The Level Two Sit on Top Kayak Skills Award enables participant to:
- Paddle safely and competently on flat water, grade 1 rivers, and very sheltered coastal areas as a member of a peer group
- Be able to carry out basic safety techniques with assistance of another member of the group or the person in the water
- Be able to safely plan and carry out a trip in a flat water enviroment considering all relevent factors.
- For level two skills holders U-18 it is recommended that these paddlers are supervised by a person over the age of 18 who has suitable experience
- The L2SOTKSA is a prerequisite for the Level 1 Sit on Top Instructor Award
This course is ran over two full days 10 am- 3 pm. All technical equipment will be provided, but we ask participants to bring the following.
Lunch for each session
Swimwear and a towl
Spare good footwear for the water
