Thomond Swim 2019

The 2019 Thomond Swim will take place Saturday June 15th. Cost 20€ + booking fee. The swim starts from the slipway at St Michael’s Rowing Club and proceeds up the river Shannon turning just below Thomond Bridge. Competitors then swim down river past King John’s Castle, the Civic offices, Shannon Rowing Club before finishing back at St Michael’ s Rowing Club. Click on map for swim route.

The swim is a qualifier for the Dun Laoghaoire Harbour Swim & the Shannon Region Open Water Swim League.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Wetsuit 1st 2nd & 3rd Female & Male Handicapped Result
Skins 1st 2nd & 3rd Female & Male Handicapped Result
Fastest Skins Male & Female

Please note: If you are competing in the swim for the first time and do not provide a 1500m open water recorded swim time you will not be eligible for prizes

You must be a member of Swim Ireland to participate. Proof of membership must be given to the event organisers. You can attain special membership for 25€. It is valid for other Swim Ireland events. More details can be found here.
