Hollymount Sportif 2023
The Hollymount Sportif, which takes place on 21st May, gives participants the option of a 50k route or a 90k route.
The Hollymount Sportif returns on 21st May with routes to satisfy everyone. The 50k starts in Hollymount and travels to Carnacon and Ballintubber Abbey along the shores of Lough Carra. Cyclists will have an optional stop after 25k for water and fruit.
The route continues from Partry into Ballinrobe and finishes in the Village of Hollymount. The 900k route is a challenging route but promises fantastic scenery with the route travelling along Lough Carra, Lough Mask, Loch Na Fooey & Lough Corrib. The 90k starts with the 50k route but turns off in Partry and continues to Srah & through Tourmakeady to Maam Trasna for the first climb.
After a quick descent into and through Finny, cyclists will continue to Clonbur, Ballinrobe and back to the finish in Hollymount. There will be an optional water and fruit stop on the route after 60k. The 90k cycle commences in Hollymount at 9am while the 50k cycle rolls out of Hollymount at 9.30am
