Cork Walking Month 2022- Introduction to Map Reading Skills for Trail Walking


Cork Walking Month is an opportunity to celebrate walking by getting involved with a local group or club or participate in an event or programme


Event Description:
This program will provide participants with the skills to start navigating for themselves so that they can continue to walk independently or have the confidence to join a club thereafter. 
Sessions will take place at 4 locations in Cork each week and will be led by a qualified instructor who will provide informal learnings throughout the walk.

Programme Details:

Duration: 4 Weeks

Days & Times: Thursday evenings 7pm - 9pm (See venues below)

Date: Commencing Thursday May12th 

Cost: €30+ booking fee. Places Limited to 12.             


This 4 week programme will take place at the following locations:

  • Corrin Fermoy (Session 1)
  • Curragh Wood Midleton
  • Glensheskin Woods Kilworth
  • Canon Sheehan Loop, Glenanair Forrest
