Ran out of Road 600km Tourist Option

The Ran out of Road 600 Tourist Options is a more relaxed version of the audax event. (ie. it doesnt have the audax time limit). Riders can choose their own start date.  The intent is that this is still an unsupported ride.

The culture of Audax is based on self-reliance.  Routes are not marked, there are no Marshals, and riders typically navigate using a GPS or with routesheet giving turn-by-turn instructions.  There are no support vehicles and if you go off course or have a mechanical problem, you are expected to take responsibility for making your own repairs on the road, or finding your own way home.

For the Tourist Option, riders may have arranged transportation to the start or from the finish. However, having a support vehicle on the route is not in the spirit of the event. The time limit for the Tourist Option is 4 days (ie. an average 150km / day). Anyone finishing in 4 days or less will be recognised as a Tourist Finisher.

Riders must notify the organiser of the date and time they intend to start the route.
