Junior Liffey 2026

The Junior Liffey Descent will be held on the 16th of May 2026, starting at the Salmon Leap Canoe Club and finishing at the Canoe Centre in Palmerstown.

Bib collection will be at Salmon Leap Canoe Club from 10.30 am to 11.30 am

Parking is reduced at the finish area. The details will follow.

Any paddler who breaks the race rules will be penalise

A valid membership is required to enter.

The minimum age is 12, and you must have the correct skill level to paddle the course and its weirs.

All boats must have internal flotation. Boats will be disqualified if they are not suitable for racing.

Boats are classed in terms of length, ie A sea kayak is in the K1 class, even if it's a plastic boat.

Age categories are based on the participants' age on the 1st of January of the year of the race.
