Autism In Sport - Tuesday April 23rd @ 6:30pm
This workshop will benefit everyone involved in sport who wish to make their sport more accessible and inclusive for people with Autism.
Autism In Sport Training
Monaghan Sports Partnership is linking up with Active Disability Ireland to facilitate an Autism in Sport Training Workshop on the 23rd of April at 6:30pm in Castleblaney Library. This is a 2.5 hour workshop from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
This workshop will provide attendees with an understanding of Autism focusing on the delivery of sport. It will help participants to recognise and understand key areas of difference as well as looking at practical strategies which will help include people with Autism in sport sessions. This workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and ideas on how to adapt and modify your sport, physical activity or physical education sessions to make them more accessible and inclusive for people with Autism.
The workshop is ideal for sports leaders, coaches, volunteers, teachers, principals, special needs assistants, parents or anyone who has an interest in making their sport accessible and inclusive for people with Autism.
On completion of the workshop all participants will receive a Certificate of attendance. The cost of the workshop is €15 per person.
