Ras Na hEireann 2024

The long standing and hugely prestigious Larry McGill Rás Na hÉireann XC takes place on Feb 18^th, returning again to Lawlesstown, Dunleer.

This is one of the final XC events of the year. It is open to anyone who would like to dip their toe into a XC event. It is hugely enjoyable and different from normal Road race events.

This year the event will be again be held in our new venue - Lawlesstown, Dunleer. The course is a short 300m walk from Dunleer AC clubrooms (A92 K7DN) where there will be ample parking available for all on the day. 

In addition to the juvenile races, for 2024 there are huge team prizes in the mens & ladies senior races (€500 to the winning team in each race)

12:00: Girls Under 9 (Born 2016 or after) 500m
Boys Under 9 (Born 2016 or after) 500m

12:10 Girls Under 11 (Born 2014 or 2015) 1000m
Boys Under 11 (Born 2014 or 2015) 1000m

12:20 Girls Under 13 (Born 2012 or 2013) 1500m
Boys Under 13 (Born 2012 or 2013) 1500m

12:35 Girls Under 15 (Born 2010 or 2011) 2500m
Boys Under 15 (Born 2010 or 2011) 2500m

13:00 Girls Under 17 (Born 2008 or 2009) 3000m
Boys Under 17 (Born 2008 or 2009) 4000m

Prizes : 1st 6 individuals plus top 3 teams of 4 athletes in all juvenile races.

Senior Timetable:

Ladies 13:30 Senior, Junior & Masters 4000m (team of 3 per club)
Men 14:00 Senior, Junior & Masters 6000m (team of 4 per club)

Mixed 13:00 Open Fun Race 3000m

Prizes:
Top 3 male & females in the senior races
1st 3 club teams (teams to include any combination of Senior, Junior or Master)
1st Men (4 athletes) team will be awarded the Noel McGuill Cup & €500.
1st Ladies team (3 athletes) will be awarded the Sandra Floyd Cup & €500
