Waterford Viking Marathon 2024

Waterford Viking Marathon is back for the 12^th year delivering the best historic and scenic race Ireland has to offer.

Join us for the 12th Waterford Viking Marathon, and the first Autism Friendly Run, on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, for an excellent event for all ranges of fitness. We also offer a virtual event option from June 21st to 24th for those who prefer to participate remotely.

Runners from all corners of the country and across the water are invited to set their goals for this upcoming June. You can choose from Full, Half, or Quarter Marathon options to suit your fitness level and aspirations. And the first of it's kind, an Autism Friendly Run. 

When you register, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference by raising funds for our 2024 charity partner AsIAm or a charity that holds a special place in your heart. Whether it's a cause close to you or a local community group you're part of, your support makes a meaningful impact.

*Only race bibs will be posted out to runners taking part in the full, half and quarter marathon, t-shirts and goodie bags can be collected Friday and Saturday prior to the race at our race centre on O'Connell Street, corner of Hanover Street, Waterford City or collected when you finish your race at the race centre.  

*There will be no race bibs for the Autism Friendly Run. T-shirts and paper wristbands will be handed out at starting line prior the run on Grattan Quay. Details of event here, Autism Friendly Run

Information about collection will be shared with you in the weeks before the event. All medals will be handed out at finish line. If you have entered the virtual race, your t-shirt and medal will be posted on completion of your race.
