To mark The Reservoir Dog’s fifth year we have ‘tweaked’ the 125Km route to present renewed challenge our riders have come to expect.
The Reservoir Dog Sportive is a unique cycling sportive event that has gained a reputation as a ‘must do’ event on the Irish Sportive calendar. 97% of riders surveyed by Cycling Ireland for the 2018 Reservoir Dog Sportive said that they were extremely or very likely to recommend it to a friend.
The event venue is the iconic palladian mansion of Russborough House in County Wicklow and is hosted by the Reservoir Cogs Cycling club based in nearby Blessington.
The Reservoir Dog ethos is to provide participants with a very challenging but rewarding cycle sportive experience. The 125km route takes on some of the most challenging climbs in Ireland whilst keeping to quiet and breathtaking scenic roads. Our 65km event takes in a hilly and spectacular circuit of the Blessington Reservoir and introduces the rider to some hidden gems of roads.
We also pride ourselves in taking the best care of the riders with top-level support, food and catering before, during and after the event with a great value for money experience. All proceeds raised by the Reservoir Dog Sportive are donated to charity to fund local Environmental enhancement and community projects.
