Milford Hospice “Walk from a Distance” Memorial Walk 2021

The Milford Hospice Memorial Walk will take place from May 23rd to May 27th 2021.  This year once again they are appealing to the public to complete the walk from a distance, in their own locality and in their own time, by doing 1km a day for 5 days.  While you may not be able to walk collectively, you can do so in spirit by doing the walk on your own or with members of your households, carrying the memories with you. There will be a special blessing ceremony on Friday, 28th May, which will be streamed live on their social media and will give all participants in the walk to virtually link up in solidarity to remember their bereaved.  The staff at Milford Care Centre will write the names(s) submitted on individual memorial ribbons to ensure that the carrying a tribute ribbon element of the walk is maintained.  It is also nice to learn that the tribute ribbons will later in the year be placed under the Centre’s Christmas Tree in the Milford Care Centre Chapel.
