Event Description:

Formed in the 80's, Lucan Youth Fun is a community run summer camp for children who are either living in or attending school in St Mary's Parish, Lucan and is open to children from 2nd class to 2nd year inclusive.

It's run by a committee of parents/guardians and relies on volunteers. The camp usually runs for the first two weeks of summer holidays.

The base this year will be Coláiste Phádraig CBS, Roselawn, Lucan, Co. Dublin, K78 E927.

Sample activities: Various outlings to attractions like the National Aquatic Centre, Bord Gais Theater, Croke Park, Dublin Zoo. The camp will include sports of all kinds, Mindfulness, Dance, Art & Crafts, Cooking, Disco, etc.

 
PLEASE NOTE: This camp operates as a community event. It is mandatory that a parent(s) commit to voluntary duties. This means:
  • for each child attending the camp a parent must volunteer for one unique volunteer day per child  
  • Parents attending for a day or more must have completed the online Garda Vetting form for Lucan Youth Fun in the previous 3 years.  Vetting  for other organisations is not sufficient
  • Child protection course must have been completed in the last 3 years.
