Now in its 13th year, the Cloone Adventure Race & Duathlon has been going from strength to strength since its launch in 2013. Renowned for its unique blend of fun, challenge, and adventure, this event attracts everyone from first-time racers to seasoned competitors.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Cloone, Co. Leitrim, this is the perfect way to kick off the Bank Holiday Weekend. Whether you're looking for a personal challenge, family fun, or competitive racing, there's an event for you.

Event Schedule

9:00am – Registration opens at Cloone Community Centre

10:00am – U16 Adventure Race (Ages 7–16)

10:45am – Adult 5km Adventure Race (Ages 16+)

11:30am – Main Adventure Duathlon (Ages 18+)

Main Adventure Duathlon

The main race consists of:

• 2.5km Run around Bóthar na Naomh trails
• 20km Road Cycle on public roads
• 5km Adventure Run around Bóthar na Naomh trails

Suitable for both beginners and experienced racers, this event offers a challenging and rewarding race experience.

Adult & U16 Adventure Races

A fun-filled 5km adventure run featuring:

• Kayaking
• Obstacles
• Trail running

The U16 event has become particularly popular with families, giving parents the opportunity to participate alongside their children if they wish, although this is not required.

Entry Fees

Online registration is strongly recommended to secure your place and avoid disappointment.

Registration on race day will remain open until 10:45am sharp, subject to availability.

Event Merchandise

Free event T-shirt for the first 100 adult online registrations in either the Main Adventure Duathlon or Adult 5km Adventure Race.

Important Information

• Minimum age for the U16 Adventure Race is 7 years.
• Parental/guardian consent is required for all participants under 16 years of age.
• Participants in the Main Adventure Duathlon must be 18 years or older.
• Fun, adventure, and plenty of challenges are guaranteed!
