Savills Orwell Youth One Day Stage Race 2025

Orwell Wheelers are delighted to host the Orwell One Day, our signature “three stages in one day” racing extravaganza for youth racers from u10 to u16.

We are very lucky to be able to use the Corkagh Park track as our racing venue, an enclosed purpose-built cycle track in West Dublin, which makes for safe, exciting and spectator-friendly racing.

Draft Schedule (subject to change) 9:30am: sign-on open 10:30am: 1km TT (all age groups) First rider off at 10:30am, starting with U10, then U12, U14 and U16.

Scratch races (decision as to whether boys and girls will be raced together or separately will be made on the day): U10: 4 laps U12: 15 mins + 1 lap U14: 25 mins + 3 laps U16: 35 mins + 3 laps

Elimination race for all age groups: one free lap (no rider eliminated), then one rider eliminated per lap (last over the line). U10 elimination race U12 elimination race U14 elimination race U16 elimination race

Prizegiving for all age categories The Orwell One Day is run in a points-race format, with points awarded for the placing in each race, aggregated over three races: 1st place: 100 points 2nd place: 97 points 3rd place: 95 points 4th place and beyond: Each subsequent place receives 1 point less than the previous place.
