Monaghan Sports Partnership is delighted to offer a FREE guided hike of a 10km section of the Monaghan Way in partnership with Blayney Ramblers.
The Walk is taking place on a 10km section of the Monaghan Way. Starting point of the walk will be at The Old Culloville Railway Station. The path will take you along a section of the old railway line and pass the beautiful views of Lough Ross and Lough Muckno before coming to the end point of Annadrummond, Lough Muckno.
The meeting point for participants is Annadrummond, Lough Muckno, Castleblayney at 11:00am on Saturday 16th August. Participants will then be brought by bus to the starting point of the walk at the old Culloville Railway Station.
The walk is estimated to take approx 4hrs but please allow for longer as regular breaks and lunch must be factored in.
This walk will be lead by experienced walk leaders who have completed this part of the Monaghan Way before.
The Monaghan Way takes in the beauties of nature and will promote the benefits of the outdoors on both physical and mental well-being.
This Hike is moderate with a difficult section. Some level of fitness is required.
