The Great Erris Run 2026

We are proud to announce that this year’s Great Erris Run will take place in loving memory of Rob Turner.

Rob was a dedicated and much-loved member of the Our Lady’s Secondary School community since 1995, serving as a teacher, coach, and Special Needs Assistant. Known for his kindness, patience, and ability to bring out the best in others, he made a lasting impact on countless students through both sport and support.

Rob also enjoyed great success as a professional footballer, winning both the FA Cup and UEFA Cup with Ipswich Town under Sir Bobby Robson.

His legacy lives on in the confidence, character, and memories he helped shape within our community.

This year, all donations will go to Erris Youth Disability Network (EYDN)  a truly deserving organisation doing incredible work to create inclusive opportunities for young people with special needs across education, training, employment, and everyday life in our community.

We look forward to coming together to run, remember, and make a difference.
