Inch Mile Rathmullen Donegal 2025

Held in Rathmullen Co Donegal Registration on 5th July from 10 am to 12 pm. Please note if weather conditions are not suitable on the day we may have to change the route.  This is beyond our control and please be aware before booking your place. 

Inch Mile

The Inch mile and the 500 m event takes place at Rathmullan Beach, catering for all level of swimmer.  For the Inch Mile event, swimmers will be taken on the local ferry to the swim start point. 

Each participant will receive a silicone Swim Irleand hat and Swim Ireland finisher medal.  There will be category prizes for both wetsuit and skin swimmers.

The is run in conjuction with Gartan Open Water Swimmers, Donegal Sports Partnerships and many local organisations in Rathmullen.

This is a competitive and participation event

Before You Book

• You must be able to swim the distance of the event that you have registered for. This Swim is for ages 16 and over only.
• Due to the nature of Open Water Events, timings on event day are subject to change.
• Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event (except when in the water).
• Tow floats are recommended.
• Open to both wetsuits and non-wetsuit participants.
• Please indicate on the registration form which category you will be in (Wetsuit OR Non -Wetsuit)
