Guided River Trips - Term 1/ 2023

These trips are aimed at those who have completed a basic training course and who wish to progress their paddling skills on moving water. Trips are also suitable for those who are interested in progressing their kayaking skills to gaining the Level 3 Kayak Skills award. All our trips are led by qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors whose aims are improving paddling skills while promoting water confidence with strong emphasis on safety and enjoyment.

The trip fee includes supply a suitable modern kayak and all necessary safety gear and equipment such as paddle , PFD ( Buoyancy Aid) , spray deck . helmet , wetsuit and cagoule.

Trips will take place on the River Liffey through the picturesque Strawberry Beds in Liffey Valley and finish in Canoeing Ireland Training Centre which has its own private parking and changing facilities.

Requirements

• Be over 18 years
• At minimum Level 2 Kayak skills standard
• Be able to swim
