Jaimie Monahan is a three-time Guinness World Record Holder in ice, winter, and ultramarathon swimming. Jaimie is from New York City and has enjoyed open water swimming and set records on all seven continents from Antarctica to the Arctic. She has successfully completed non-stop, solo, ultramarathon endurance swims up to 114 miles (183 km) in distance and more than 45 hours in duration. Jaimie is an inductee of both the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame and the Ice Swimming Hall of Fame. Jaimie’s passion is pioneering new swim routes and pursuing personal challenges in some of the world’s most beautiful, extreme, and iconic locations. Jaimie is a prolific cold-water swimmer and the first person in history to complete an ice mile on all Seven Continents and the “Ice Sevens Challenge,” including several of the coldest mile swims ever recorded. She has represented the United States in over 30 countries as a seven-time US national champion in winter swimming and two-time age-group world champion in ice swimming.She was voted the World Open Water Swimming Association's Woman of the Year for two consecutive years and is currently the reigning Queen of Manhattan with 31 completions of the classic 28.5 mile (46 km) swim around her home island in New York City, including seven loops in seven days and the world’s first Quadruple Manhattan swim.
