Every year, thousands of participants flood the city's streets, as Limerick City comes to a standstill for this iconic event. Whether you're chasing a personal best, fundraising for a great cause, or simply taking on a new challenge, there’s a distance to suit everyone.

Distances & Start Times

• Marathon & Marathon Relay: 9:00 AM Start

• Half Marathon: 10:30 AM Start

• 6 Mile: 12:30 PM Start

Each route is fully measured and certified. 

Race Pack Information

Race Number Postage Deadline:

• Closes on April 5th, 2026

• Make sure to select the postage option during registration if you wish to receive your race number and pack by post.

Race Pack Collection (if not posted):

• Location: UL Arena, University of Limerick

• Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026

• Time: 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM

There is no race pack collection on race day. Please plan accordingly.

Join us for one of Ireland’s most exciting children’s running events—the Kids Run for Fun 2026, part of the Regeneron Great Limerick Run weekend! Taking place on the beautiful grounds of the University of Limerick, this event is designed to encourage healthy habits, outdoor activity, and joyful participation in a safe and supportive environment.

Location: University of Limerick, Athletics Track and Campus
Entry Fee: €15 (includes event t-shirt & finisher medal)

Wave Starts:

• 2:30PM – Wheelchair Event (on track)

• 3:00PM – Junior & Senior Infants – 1KM route

• 3:45PM – First, Second & Third Class – 1.5KM route

• 4:30PM – Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Class – 2KM route
