Teen Connect Winter WhiteWater Development Days

Want to get better on whitewater, paddle with other girls your age and have a seriously fun day on the river?

This winter, Canoeing Ireland's Teen Connect x HerMoves is running a series of girls only whitewater development days around Ireland, led by Cleo Pitcher Farrell and a team of amazing female instructors.

Expect a morning of whitewater paddling, learning new skills and building confidence, followed by a warm, dry and social activity afterwards. The day will run from 10:30 - 15:30 on each session.

Thanks to HerMoves funding from Sport Ireland, each session is heavily subsidised, so you only pay €20 (+ booking fee) per day.

Here is what we are planning:

Sunday 15th November – Dublin
Sunday 29th November – Clashganny
Saturday 12th December – Clonmel

More dates for the post-Christmas sessions will be released on 12th December.

You don’t need to be the most experienced paddler there. This is about progressing at your own level, meeting other girls who paddle, having fun and getting more confident on the river.

What you’ll need:

- River kayak with suitable spray deck and air bags
- Paddle
- Buoyancy aid
- Helmet
- Winter wetsuit or drysuit
- Cag, unless you’re wearing a drysuit

(If you want to come and dont have a club you can borrow a boat from, please email and we can help you)

Participants must have their Level 2 River Skills certificate before attending, and must be a member of Canoeing Ireland.

You can choose to sign up to one session, or as many as you like!
