fundraising for Charis Cancer Care
We all know the staggering statistic: one in two people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. This means that almost all of us, or someone we love, will face the trauma of a diagnosis and the challenges of treatment.
This is where Charis Cancer Care makes a difference. Having seen a family member supported by Charis through their treatment and recovery, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact they have. Charis provides a "massive hug" when words aren't enough, offering counseling, complementary therapies, and essential financial guidance. Cancer affects far more than just physical health; it impacts mental wellbeing and financial stability as well.
To support this vital work, we (Julie, Hannah, Caroline, Aaron and myself) have decided to run the Belfast Marathon Relay. Mary the superstar is taking on the full 26.2 mile challenge.
While (some of us) are the opposite of runners, we are willing to endure some discomfort to help others navigate a cancer diagnosis.
