Limerick Animal Welfare is the first purpose built animal Sanctuary in Munster. It is set outside the beautiful town of Kilfinane. Co. Limerick and has 25 acres of land devoted to the care of animals. We care for all animals, mostly dogs, cats, horses and goats. We take in everything that needs care, and our mission statement is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many animals as possible. We have three charity shops in Limerick City which help towards the upkeep of the Sanctuary. We are currently fundraising to open our own Veterinary Clinic at the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary opened in December 2007. Before this, a band of people, now the Directors of L A W were looking after stray animals in Limerick City for30 years, feeding them and holding small fundraising events to pay for veterinary costs and food. The one dream was to open our own Sanctuary, and this dream, now our Field of Dreams has come true.

Athletics Ireland is the National Governing Body for Athletics in Ireland. Our primary objective is to promote and develop the sport at every level from recreational running and schools competitions through to supporting Ireland's elite athletes in international competition.
