Than Thai - Dublin City Half Marathon 2026 for Irish Cancer Society fundraising for Irish Cancer Society

Hello everyone, I’m setting up this fundraiser as I’ll be running the Dublin City Half Marathon on the 3rd of May 2026 in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. This cause means so much to me and my family. My sister and several members of my extended family have been diagnosed with cancer — some who thankfully beat it, and some who sadly lost their battle. Because of this, choosing to run for the Irish Cancer Society felt like the right thing to do. Cancer is something that affects so many of us, and it’s one of the most heartbreaking things a family can go through. I couldn’t be prouder to be doing this run in honour of my loved ones and everyone affected. I would really appreciate any support, no matter how small. Every donation helps me reach my target and goes directly towards supporting cancer patients and their families. Together, this can make a real difference in the long run. Thank you all so much for your support — let’s go get this 💪💚

About Irish Cancer Society

Cancer is the most common cause of death in Ireland with more than 9,000 people dying each year. That's almost 25 people dying from cancer every day across Ireland. An average of 1 person every hour. However, thanks to earlier detection, improved care and targeted treatments, more people are surviving cancer than ever before. Today, there are 200,000 cancer survivors in Ireland. The Irish Cancer Society are working towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world class treatment and support. Typically receiving only 5% of income from the Government, your support helps provide key services to ensure no one has to face cancer alone and funds vital cancer research with over €30 million invested since 2010.
