Rebecca Walsh & Samantha Swayne fundraising for CUH (Cork University Hospital) Charity in Youghal Bay Half Marathon & 10km 2024

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We really appreciate it. Myself and Sam are going to run a half marathon in our local town of youghal, 11th August. We’re raising money for a charity which in the past few years and still to this date helped me, sam’s dad and people close to us. On the 12th July 2022 I was told I had cervical cancer and to start chemotherapy and radiotherapy immediately. The staff in CUH were and still are nothing short of amazing. We’d like to do this firstly for the chance to finish our first official half marathon race, the fact it’s in our town makes it even better. We want to raise money for CUH because without their help and treatment i wouldn’t have the chance to do this. I wouldn’t be healthy and cancer free without them. So this is our way of paying them back. This is only one of thousands of stories of people who have been helped. Thankyou for reading this far and once again Thankyou to anyone who contributes 🤍🤍
