IRVA is the national charity for road crash victims in Ireland. We provide free information and support to those bereaved or seriously injured by road traffic collisions, and we work with all stakeholders at home and abroad to reduce the dangers on our roads. We cover the cost of bereavement counselling for those affected and we can offer free legal guidance. Our Guide for families bereaved by road collisions is distributed by the Gardai to families impacted. Our Helpline is always open for advice and assistance, and we also hold monthly online support group meetings with qualified facilitators to assist the bereaved and injured as they try to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives, while also dealing with the legal processes which follow their bereavement or injury. All of our services are free of charge. ​ ​
