Bob Doherty fundraising for Children's Health Foundation in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025
I'm Running a Marathon for Temple Street – For Liam and All the Brave Kids Like Him This year, I’m running a marathon to raise funds for the Children’s Health Foundation, supporting the incredible work done at Temple Street Children’s Hospital. This cause is deeply personal to me, as it’s where our journey with our son Liam began. Liam was born with bilateral talipes (clubfoot), a condition that affects the feet and legs. From the moment he arrived, Temple Street was there. At just days old, Liam began treatment—six weeks in casts from toe to hip, followed by a year in boots and bars 24/7, and nightly wear ever since. It's been a long road, but thanks to the care and dedication of the doctors and nurses at Temple Street, Liam is now walking, running, and thriving like any other child his age. We’re approaching what we hope will be Liam’s final check-up this August, and I couldn’t think of a better way to give back than by running in his honor. When Liam was born, we didn’t know if he’d ever walk properly—let alone run. Now, I’m running for him, and for every family who finds hope and healing at Temple Street. Please donate whatever you can to support this amazing charity. Every euro makes a difference.
