A Remembrance Run 2024 in memory of Denise Revill fundraising for Irish Cancer Society in Remembrance Run 5k supported by 123.ie & Evergreen Care

Denise Revill passed away on 22/08/2024, age 56. Denise and I were friends since we were 10 years old. How lucky was I to have her friendship all these years? We went to school, college and worked together. We’d great craic over the years and she was great support to me - more than she knew. I’m doing this run in her memory - but for those of you that know me - I’ll be WALKING it. 😉

Owner messages:

About Irish Cancer Society

Cancer is the most common cause of death in Ireland with more than 9,000 people dying each year. That's almost 25 people dying from cancer every day across Ireland. An average of 1 person every hour. However, thanks to earlier detection, improved care and targeted treatments, more people are surviving cancer than ever before. Today, there are 200,000 cancer survivors in Ireland. The Irish Cancer Society are working towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world class treatment and support. Typically receiving only 5% of income from the Government, your support helps provide key services to ensure no one has to face cancer alone and funds vital cancer research with over €30 million invested since 2010.
