Olivia Daly fundraising for Cliona's Foundation with Coláiste Muire Realt na Mara

Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page for Cliona’s Foundation — your support means a lot. In April and June 2026, over 200 students and teachers from across Ireland will walk 100km of the Camino de Santiago, from Portomarin to Santiago, over 4 days. We’re walking in solidarity with families facing the emotional and financial challenges of caring for a seriously ill child. Each student is raising at least €1,000 — with 100% of funds going directly to Cliona’s Foundation. Travel costs are covered by us. It’s an incredible experience and a privilege to support such a meaningful cause. If you can, please share this page — your support makes a real difference. Thank you!

About Cliona's Foundation

Cliona's Foundation provides nationwide financial assistance to families of seriously sick children to help with the non medical costs of caring for their child while in hospital or at home These costs include but are not limited to accommodation, travel, car parking, food, childcare, specialist equipment and much more. For many of these families one of the parents has to give up work to care for their child reducing the household income & placing significant financial pressure on them. Cliona’s Foundation believes that no family should have to face any added financial stress, when already struggling with the devastation and trauma of a seriously ill child. Cliona’s Foundation relies 100% on income raised through a range of activities including events & fundraising, corporate donations, philanthropy & private donations and charity partnership & have supported over 1,700 families over the past 17 years - 216 in 2024 . Thank you for your support

About Camino for Clionas 2026 01st June - 05th June

Across five trips in April, & June 2026 over 200 students & their teachers will walk from Portomarin to Santiago , a route of 100 kms over 4 days . It is an amazing experience for everyone
The students will be from schools all across the Country and will be walking in solidarity with families on their own challenging journey as they deal with the emotional & financial pressure of caring for a seriously sick child.

Each of the students have to raise a minimum of €1,000 , 100% of which goes directly to Cliona's , with the cost of travel & accommodation being borne by themselves.

Apart from the serious efforts put into fundraising and the challenge of the walk, all of these students are amazing ambassadors for Cliona's, their families & their schools.
It has been an absolute privilege for Cliona's to have had the company of these amazing young people on our trips in over the past three years
Please support their efforts in anyway you can.
