Thank you for visiting our staff relay page! Usually, our Fundraising and Health Promotion teams are busy behind the scenes, but for the 2026 Belfast City Marathon, we’re trading our desks for trainers. We’ve been so inspired by the record-breaking number of #TeamNICHS runners taking on the full marathon and relay this year that we had to join the movement. We’re running to practice what we preach about heart health and to stand in solidarity with every supporter running for NICHS. Every pound raised stays right here in Northern Ireland, funding local research and life-changing support for those who need it most. Any donation, no matter how small, makes a massive difference!

Established in 1946, we work with people of all ages across the country, delivering vital care and prevention services, supporting ground-breaking research and campaigning for change.
Today, as many as 470,000 people in Northern Ireland are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition and we are committed to supporting them.
With almost 90% of our income coming exclusively from public donations we need your help to continue to help thousands of local people and their families rebuild their lives.
