About Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund

The Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund has been set up in memory of the late Ashling Murphy, Blueball, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. This fund has been established to fulfil the strong legacy left by Ashling, even in her short life. Donations and proceeds from fundraisers will be utilised to achieve the objectives of the memorial fund. These objectives have been compiled by the Murphy family along with committee members and are deemed close to Ashling’s heart and represent the many interests she had in her 23 years. About Cork City Marathon 2025

Organised by Cork City Council, the marathon has three distances: the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K race. The routes weave through Cork City’s scenic and vibrant streets and suburbs, past iconic landmarks and along the bustling quays. The incredible support from Corkonians lining the streets, paired with the camaraderie among participants, guarantees a memorable day for all.

The Cork City Marathon is open to all, from elite athletes chasing records to first-time runners tackling personal goals. It's more than a race—it’s about community, resilience, and making a difference.

Building on the €200,000 raised for 58 charity partners in 2024, we aim to double this target in the coming years. With our new tagline ‘Your Race, Their Hope.’ We encourage participants to run for causes close to their hearts, making every stride on June 1 count towards vital, life-changing work.

As a full member of AIMs the Cork marathon is IAAF certified.
