Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I recently decided the time was now to make some changes towards my life and health so commenced loosing weight with the help of slimming world, at the point of writing i am almost 2 and a half stone lighter, always aiming to better and push myself i decided to challenge myself with the Belfast half Marathon. Having worked closely with the amazing team on HEMS during my working life i decided to support them and fundraise for this vital service. Your support is really appreciated. Every day in Northern Ireland, two people need the services of the air ambulance medical team. It could be a road traffic collision, fall from a height, farm accident, sports incident, or sudden cardiac arrest to name a few. Whatever the critical situation, the air ambulance doctor and paramedic are airborne in minutes, travelling to the furthest part of Northern Ireland in less than 25minutes.
At the scene, they provide medical care that is usually only available when the patient reaches the hospital and it can be the difference between life and death. With your help, we can bring the hospital to the patient in minutes.
