Myself, Katie and Sean are running in support of Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, who rely heavily on funding and donations to cover the costs involved, they receive no government funding. It costs between €22-€25K per dog, to train and place a dog with a family. These amazing dogs allow families to participate in activities and outings that might have been previously impossible. In a world that can feel impossibly overwhelming to a person with autism these dogs allow families to create memories, moments and events that most of us take for granted. We really appreciate any donation at all that you can support us with. If you can help us to promote this page, it would be wonderful too. You can share our page on any social media using the social sharing sections. Thanks so much again! Liz, Katie and Sean

About Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland

Together, we can transform the lives of children with autism by providing specially trained service dogs that help keep kids safe, expanding their horizons and enhancing their lives. Since 2010, we have partnered with our communities across Ireland to provide Autism Assistance Dogs to families who need us, without ever charging families a cent for this lifechanging service. Our dogs are specially trained to provide safety and companionship, reduce anxiety and suffering, promote independence, and improve coping mechanisms of children with autism. This enables the child to be included in everyday situations that they would otherwise find overwhelming. Our dogs enable families to expand their possibilities and live the fullest of lives. Because of their vital role in the lives of the families we serve, Assistance Dogs are legally recognised supports for families and are allowed access to all public facilities and accommodations.

About Joe Duffy BMW Clontarf 5 Mile and Half Marathon July 2025 Fundraising Campaign

Welcome to Joe Duffy BMW Clontarf half marathon and 5 mile. It takes place in the scenic setting of Clontarf Promenade and Bull Island with views of Howth Head and Dublin bay. The race is contained within an off road promenade and Bull Island giving it unique and relaxing appeal. This year we are partnered with the Mater Hospital Foundation charity and are encouraging all participants to make a difference for critically ill patients and their families while taking part. This fundraising platform allows runners to promote and fundraise for worthy charitable causes that they have a strong significant meaning with. By registering for the race, you will have the option to tell us about your charity and the reason you are looking to raise funds. We will use this fundraising platform to showcase these stories and together we will help raise funds for some worthy causes!
