Lisa Byrne fundraising for Irish Heart Foundation

Next March, I am embarking on an epic Arctic Challenge to raise vital funds for the Irish Heart Foundation, with a special focus on women's health. Myself and my colleague Aine will brave the freezing temperatures, trekking across icy landscapes, and pushing our limits to make a difference in the lives of women across Ireland. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in Ireland, but together, we can change that. Your support will fund crucial research, education, and life-saving programs that empower women to take control of their heart health. Every step we take in the Arctic is a step closer to better health and brighter futures for women. Please donate and help us reach our fundraising goal. Together, we can ensure that every woman in Ireland has the chance to live a long and healthy life

About Irish Heart Foundation

Every hour someone in Ireland suffers from a stroke. Every day, hundreds of Irish people are diagnosed with heart disease. The lives of these people are often cut tragically short. Many are left disabled. Almost 9,000 people die each year, making heart disease and stroke one of the nation’s biggest killers. It shouldn’t be this way and this fact forms our reason for being. We are the nation’s heart and stroke charity. Our mission is to effect positive change in the lifestyles of Irish people, to achieve better outcomes for those affected by heart disease and stroke and to challenge when the health of our nation is put at risk. We empower people to live longer, healthier lives. Thank you for choosing to support us.

About Arctic Challenge for the Irish Heart Foundation

Women are SIX times more likely to die from heart disease and stroke than breast cancer. However, cardiovascular disease in women remains under-researched, under-diagnosed and under-treated for too long. We need to change that.

A team of women will be taking on the Arctic Challenge to raise vital funds and awareness around women's heart health - because Her Heart Matters!
