Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. As a paediatric nurse, I have had the privilege of seeing first-hand the support that Jack and Jill provide to children with complex needs and their families. I’ve also worked alongside their team in the past, so I know just how valuable and vital their work truly is. I’m taking on the Dublin City Half Marathon to give something back and support this amazing charity. I’ll also be keeping my mam in mind as I take this on. Every €20 raised provides one hour of vital in-home nursing care and respite for a child with complex needs — giving families something so important: time. Any donation, big or small, would mean so much and will go directly towards helping these children and their families. If you’re not in a position to donate, even sharing my page would be hugely appreciated. About Jack and Jill Children's Foundation

Jack and Jill is a nationwide charity that funds and provides up to 100 hours per month of in-home nursing care and respite support to families caring for children, up to the age of seven, with severe learning disability often associated with complex medical needs. Typically, these children may be tube fed, oxygen dependent, may not sleep, take seizures, need a lot of medication and require around-the-clock care. Understandably, their parents can be exhausted and need a break, which is where Jack and Jill comes in. Our service operates seven days a week, with no means test, no red tape and no waiting list. Another key part of our service is end-of-life-care for all children up to the age seven, irrespective of diagnosis, empowering parents to take their child home to die at this most difficult time.
