On the 14th of September, I will be running the Rathoath half marathon to raise funds for Féileacáin in memory of nephew Luca. As some of you may know my nephew Luca sadly passed away on the 13th of May aged just 4 days old, the support Féileacáin has shown and will continue to show my brother and his family during this heartbreaking time has been a great comfort to my family. Losing a baby is an indescribable heartbreak that completely changes parents and family’s lives, Féileacáin step in to support families with difficult decisions, create lasting memories to cherish forever and have many support services in place for parents and siblings. Féileacáin‘s services depend on donations and I would like to give back to ensure any family unfortunate enough to know such grief can receive the support and compassion this situation requires.
