About Darkness into Light Hannahstown and Suicide Awareness and Support Group
Suicide Awareness and Support Group are a charity that delivers bereavement support to those bereaved by suicide and organise a bridging support structure for those recently bereaved. We also provide intervention services for those at risk of suicide.
We endeavour to raise the issue of suicide prevention to ultimately help reduce the suicide rate.

Darkness Into Light 2026 is a global 5km walk, which will take place around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Walking from the darkness into the light i.e. sunrise which is different times in different locations. This inspiring event symbolizes hope, as communities come together to support mental health and prevent suicide.
There are many ways to get involved. Join our official Darkness Into Light Hannahstown walk or create your own DIL fundraiser—whether it’s a bake sale, a car wash, a sponsored silence, a run, or a swim. Rally your family, friends, and colleagues in your local area to make a difference.
