Khin May Phoo Thwe (Lorena) fundraising for Childhood Cancer Ireland in Youghal Bay Half Marathon & 10km 2025
On August 10th, I’m running my first half marathon at the Youghal Bay Half Marathon and I really wanted to make it meaningful. 🏃♀️ I have chosen to support Childhood Cancer Ireland, a small but vital charity helping families through the incredibly tough journey of childhood cancer. They’re a small, family-focused organisation that depends on support from individuals and small fundraisers. If you’d like to donate or even just share, thank you so much 💛
About Childhood Cancer Ireland
Childhood Cancer Foundation was founded in 2013 by a group of parents and family members of children with cancer.
We are a voluntary, parent-led organisation, we are non-government funded. In August 2022 we were delighted to join together with CanCare4Living, a charity for survivors of childhood cancer, under the new name Childhood Cancer Ireland.
We will continue to represent the voice of children, adolescents and young adults with cancer, survivors and their families as the national parent and survivor-led childhood cancer charity.
Bringing our two charities together creates a unified and even stronger voice for everyone affected by childhood cancer and we are pleased that Childhood Cancer Ireland will reflect the life-long impact of childhood cancer - from diagnosis to treatment and into survivorship and adulthood.
Through the generosity of our donors we are proud to fund supports and services for children with cancer and their families.
About Youghal Bay Half Marathon and 10k 2025
Last year our half marathon and 10k races raised €2,400 for charity! We would love to help charities by raising even more this year. Please consider donating to a charity of your choice and show what Youghal is about!
