🌞Running for Katie, fundraising for Little Heroes🌞 On 3rd May 2026, I will be running the Belfast Marathon along side my brother - Jordan & my good friend Andy to raise money for a charity that means more to me and my family than I could ever put into words — Little Heroes. My beautiful daughter, Katie sadly passed away on 8th May 2025, aged just 13. During the last year of her life, Katie spent a great deal of time in and out of PICU at the Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. The care she received there was nothing short of incredible. As her Daddy, I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to the consultants, nurses and the entire PICU team. They cared for Katie with such compassion, kindness and dignity, whilst supporting me and our family through the darkest days of our lives. My wife Cathy & our family became very well known in the Royal, and we will always be thankful for how they looked after our little girl and all of us who loved her. The care they gave Katie was truly second to none. Now it’s our turn to give something back. We are running to raise funds for Little Heroes, who provide vital, life-saving equipment for PICU and support families while their children are seriously ill in hospital. If you are able to spare anything at all, I would be so grateful for your support. Every single pound makes a real difference and helps other families facing the hardest moments imaginable.
