CF Ireland is a wonderful charity who do extremely important work for those diagnosed/living with the disease in Ireland. From transplant grants to patient advocacy, they make a huge difference in the lives of those afflicted. CFI was set up by parents to improve the treatment and facilities for people with CF in Ireland (PWCF). This includes funding CF units across Ireland, providing direct support for PWCF with grants, funding CF research, advocating for and providing advice and information for PWCF and their families.
About Blackrock Health Galway Clinic Streets of Galway 8k 2025
The Blackrock Health Galway Clinic Streets of Galway 8K on 9 August 2025 is an 8km road race in its 39th year, organised by Galway City Harriers.
Since its inception in 1986 the event has grown into one of the most prestigious road races in the country, yet remains true to its original motto of Sport for All, as many locals and visitors take on the event year in year out.
The event will bring thousands of participants onto the streets of our city and suburbs into what is a fantastic event for the city.
The Streets is a fast and flat 8k race routing around Galway City, Salthill and the famous Claddagh . It attracts thousands of runners from all walks of life to the city on a superb summers evening in the City of the Tribes
Race Start is 7pm at Fr Griffin Road and Race finish is at South Park, HQ is the Claddagh Hall at Nimmos Pier
