I am running the Dublin Marathon in memory of an amazing friend Niamh Berkery, who passed away last October. I met Niamh through volunteering with Community Games. The first thing that struck everyone about Niamh was her radiant smile. No matter how busy the volunteer days, Niamh would greet you with the biggest smile and her infectious enthusiasm would always make the day brighter. Niamh's passion for giving back extended beyond volunteer work, she touched the lives of everyone around her with kindness and warmth. I am lucky to have so many amazing memories of good times shared. BMLT supported Niamh during her treatment when she availed of the use of one of their apartments provided to patients from outside Dublin. It truly became a home away from home. The difference it made to her and her family during the most difficult of times is immeasurable. Many thanks again, Tanya Kelly
