In memory of my wonderful mum ❤️ I’m setting up this fundraiser for Crann a truly wonderful service that became such an important part of my mum’s life during her rehabilitation and counselling since her stroke in May 2023. Without Crann, I honestly don’t believe my mum would have had the confidence, independence and quality of life that they helped give her. They gave her so much more than rehabilitation — they gave her hope, confidence and a reason to keep living life to the fullest. My mum knew that, because of her condition CAA, there was going to be another stroke and that the next could be fatal ,and which it was this February. But Crann helped her find joy in life despite that fear. They helped her believe in herself again, to get out and do things, to laugh, to make memories and to live her life rather than constantly worrying about what might happen next. And for us as a family, they gave us something equally precious — more time with the mum , wife , Grannie , sister , aunt and friend we knew and loved. They helped give her back a sense of herself, and in doing so, they gave us back her vibrant colorful self . I will always be incredibly grateful to every person at Crann who supported my mum, encouraged her and helped her through some of the most difficult times in her life. The impact you had on her, and on all of us, will never be forgotten. My mum deserved to experience joy, confidence and a good quality of life, and Crann helped make that possible. For that, I will be forever thankful. I’m fundraising now to help Crann continue providing that same support, hope and dignity to other families who find themselves facing the challenges that we did.
