Harry O’Neill fundraising for Pieta in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2024

Marathon I am running this years Dublin marathon in aid of Pieta. Pieta provides assistance to people who are in suicidal distress, engage in self harm and the families of those that are bereaved by suicide. This September, it will be 10 years since my Dad died by suicide. The impact of his death has had a profound effect on me and is something I struggle with everyday. It is impossible to put into words how much I miss him. I cant think of a better way of marking my Dad’s anniversary than by attempting to run this marathon while raising funds for Pieta that will potentially save someone’s life. I hope to surpass the goal of €1500 and will provide updates through my Instagram on the amount of money being raised.Any donation, no matter how big or small will go a long way. Having gone through many tough times in life, I know how easy it is to feel like giving up. If you’re struggling, please reach out to those around you. Never underestimate the hole your absence would leave. 💛

About Pieta

Pieta' vision is a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. By supporting us you will allow us to strive to make this a reality. Without your support we would not have been able to give hope to over 60,000 people since we first opened our doors in 2006. In 2020 Pieta delivered over 52,000 hours of intervention and bereavement counselling. We managed over 70,000 crisis support calls. All of our services are provided free of charge. This is only possible because of you.
