The Mater Hospital Foundation is the official charity supporting the work of the Mater Hospital.
Thanks to the generosity of its supporters, it funds life-changing initiatives that enhance comfort and care for patients, and that provide doctors and nurses with the latest cutting-edge equipment.
It makes the ordinary, extraordinary for more than 420,000 patients cared for at the hospital each year.
Your donations help to bring comfort, care and hope to patients and families wherever its needed most.
About The Campaign
The famous Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon returns to Inis Mór this spring, from 11th to 13th April 2025, with the marathon itself happening on Saturday, 12th April, all to support patient care in the Mater Hospital.
For more than 20 years, the Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon has supported worthy causes. We are honoured to work with the Marathon Committee to raise the funds to enable us to transform and improve patient care in The Mater Hospital, which provides expert, specialist treatment to hundreds of thousands of sick people and their families from all across Ireland each and every year.
The crucial funds you raise through the Aer Arann Half Marathon will allow our doctors and nurses to provide the very best care to critically ill patients when they need it most.
